This page has a collection other things I have added to my Mac which do not fit neatly into one of the other categories. Just because they are in this catch-all category does not mean they are any less useful. Check them out.
  • CocoaBooklet lets you create a booklet out of a PDF file. A booklet is book that is bound in the middle, which means it has four pages printed on one sheet of paper (two on each side). Simply create your PDF file with "half size" pages and let CocoaBooklet do the rest.
  • Pastor is a tool to store all your passwords, website logins, serial numbers, etc. encrypted and password-protected. It comes with a built-in password generator. Most password/security applications are way too complex. Pastor is simple and does the job.
  • Screen Dimmer is the most simplistic of all screen savers. Screen savers don't really accomplish anything with an LCD panel, but they do add some personality to your Mac.
  • Bible Dictionary is an add-on for the Dictionary application that comes with Leopard. After being installed you will have another dictionary available, in this case The Bible. This is a very cool feature of the Leopard Dictionary application, you can add specialized dictionaries.
This OS X Keyboard Shortcuts page is a handy quick reference.

I also use StichBuddy, a QuickLook plug-in that lets you view pes embroidery files in coverflow view in Finder. Not that many people may need this, but if you do it is a perfect solution.

Another very nice feature in Leopard is the ability to create password-protected (encrypted) disk images. You can have an encrypted disk image to use for work files, for example. Once you supply the password, the disk image looks just like any other mounted disk on your system. Close (eject) the disk and all your information is protected. The Apple support site has a "how-to" article on the subject.
